Farm Experience with Giannis & Olga
Our hosts and friends, Giannis and Olga, welcome us with homemade lemonade and vanilla “submarine” spoon sweet — a nostalgic greeting that brings back the summers of our childhood.
We walk past the old stone church wall and into the farm’s garden, among fresh tomatoes, strawberries, zucchini, eggplants, and green beans.
We pick, we smell, we taste. Chickens and goats wander nearby, and nature quietly joins the joy.
Then, we gather in a shaded courtyard filled with old tools, clay pots, and rustic wooden tables. There, we taste handmade pies, local cheeses, and sweet creations with honey and walnuts.
We learn how to make cheese from the very milk we’ve just helped collect. We prepare yogurt the traditional way, with care, patience, and no shortcuts.
This experience is not just agrotourism. It’s a way to reconnect — with the land, with people who love what they do, and with traditions that were never lost… only waiting to be found again.

In the historic village of Karyes, beneath the shade of millennia-old plane trees and among stone-paved paths echoing ancient memory, Giannis and Olga welcome us to their small family farm.
Here, life flows differently — in the rhythm of nature. With hands in the soil and flavors straight from the source.
This is a full-day experience devoted to the land, the flavors, and the stories of a traditional Arcadian farm.
The experience begins beneath the shade of three ancient plane trees — some said to be over 3,000 years old — continues with a short walk to the village’s stone-built church, and reaches its heart in a garden walk that awakens all the senses.
